Amica’s 100 Years Of Experience
In 1907, the Automobile Mutual Insurance Company of America (Amica) began offering auto insurance in Providence, Rhode Island.
The founder, A. T. Vigneron, based his company on selling to low risk drivers and paying dividends exclusively to the policyholders.
Amica was able to increase its number of policyholders and pay out dividends on most policies during the market crash of 1929.
